Prevention: vaccination and antiparasitic treatments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-442 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dcv-berger-allemand.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/images.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dcv-berger-allemand.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/images.png 225w, https:\/\/dcv-berger-allemand.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/images-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With us, each puppy receives a rigorous care protocol from the first weeks of life.<br \/>\nVaccination follows classic veterinary recommendations:<\/p>\n<p><strong>A first injection at 8 weeks (CHPPiL) A booster at 12 weeks, then at 16 weeks, then every year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 33\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Rabies vaccination is not mandatory in France; it can be carried out from 12 weeks of age depending on the puppy&#039;s destination. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.service-public.fr\/particuliers\/vosdroits\/F21374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It is mandatory if the dog has to leave French territory<\/a>, PLEASE NOTE this is valid for 21 days after the injection. <\/strong>Depending on the brand of vaccine, it must be renewed every 1 to 3 years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-370 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dcv-berger-allemand.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/download-1.png\" alt=\"Calendrier vaccinal pr\u00e9conis\u00e9\" width=\"440\" height=\"323\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Recommended vaccination schedule<\/p>\n<p>Deworming is performed every two weeks until the age of 8 weeks, then every month until the age of 6 months. After that, a quarterly or biannual schedule is recommended depending on living conditions. <strong>It is recommended to vary the molecules used.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>External antiparasitic treatments (fleas, ticks) are also implemented depending on the season and the environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We provide an up-to-date health record, with all the information necessary for monitoring.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Prevention_suivi_veterinaire_et_developpement_du_chiot\"><\/span>2. Prevention: veterinary monitoring and puppy development<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Veterinary monitoring is ongoing throughout the puppy&#039;s growth. Each puppy is examined several times by our veterinarian, from birth until it leaves for its new family.<br \/>\nThis includes:<\/p>\n<p>Dental check, cardiac and respiratory auscultation, abdominal palpation, mobility and balance examination.
