Yet its history is far richer and more complex than simply creating a standard. But under the Nazi regime, so-called &quot;non-conforming&quot; colors, including white, were excluded from the standard\u2014wrongly considered to be linked to deafness or weakness! Large-bodied dogs, often very stable, with strong protective instincts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Czech lineage <\/strong>: influenced by the needs of the army and the police, with very robust, large, nervously engaged dogs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sporting lines<\/strong> (ring, mondioring, IGP, tracking, etc.): focused on technical performance, speed of execution, motivation to work \u2014 sometimes to the detriment of hardiness or versatility. The specialized selection of the Belgian Malinois Shepherd often takes over, with the possible exception of the IGP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHerd\u201d lines:<\/strong> Lesser known, but still alive, among shepherds or professionals looking for a functional dog for everyday use, sometimes even without a pedigree. The specialized selection of the border collie has however largely taken over.<\/p>\n<p>Since the fall of communism, these bloodlines have occasionally interbred, with breeding stock being exchanged between East and West.
